Norway and America 1925 – 2025 from Moen in Målselv municipality;
On November 25th we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first contact between Norway and the USA by being QRV from our group QTH at Sundlia camp, Bardufoss.

“On the morning of November 25, 1925 I heard one
in America UlYB shout CQ on the 40-meter.
A Finnish amateur answered and stated the strength of R2-R3.
With me he was the R5-R6 which is quite a bit stronger.
UIYB did not hear the Finn and continued shouting CQ.
Then I answered, and we achieved good QSO.
The American transmitter was
Dartmouth College , Hanover,» New Hampshire,
midway between Montreal and Boston,
